GiGi gets this one

Today's art project was painting a giant bird ~ and I mean it was huge. At first she didn't want to get the paint on her hands (silly girl) but eventually dug right in

I have to say, when she is working on an art project she has a very serious face. I love the last one with her tongue sticking out : )

This bird will be going home with GiGi who is coming to visit!!! She likes birds and well, we really don't. Sorry, I think they are nasty and loud : ( Plus, it is really big and I know GiGi will have the perfect spot to display it!

Displaying her work! Yes, she has blue teeth from a lollipop she got at the doctor's office. I have been feeling bad for a few days and it just keeps getting worse. The diagnosis ~ Bronchitis and Pharyngitis with the added bonus of a fever of 103. I wish I'd had a camera in the doctor's office to catch her face as I was getting 2 shots. She grimmaced, put her hand over her face and kept saying "No Mama" then she sweetly came over to pat my hand : ) GiGi is coming on Thursday and we cannot be sick so pray she or Daddy don't get my funk!

*As a side note, we got there late so there were only two other mom's there with their kids. One of them was Mar*tina Mc*Bride and no we did not get a pic with her b/c she was there to enjoy her own time with her daughter.Hey, she didn't ask for my pic either LOL If I had spoken to her (other than saying "of course" when she asked if her daughter Ava could borrow Annslee's purple marker) then I would have let her know how much her song "In My Daught*er's Eyes" made me cry about a hundred times driving down the road as we waited for Annslee's referral and for her to come home. Who am I kidding ~ it still makes me cry!

I love the bird! How cool is that bird! And how great are you not to be a gushing fan bothering her with mommy daughter time! I dont know that I could have resisted at least snapping a pic! Hope the sickness finds its way out the door and leaves you guys alone.

Oh dear, I hope the rest of your family does not get sick. (My family just went through that; first Rob, then me and then Linlee. Yuck!) I am sending healthy vibes your way!

Beautiful BIG bird! Annslee is an artist. Love the tongue pic too!

Wow, I am impressed by Annslee's bird! Amelia's is all just scribbles. You may have an artist on your hands:)

P.S., although I was sorry we missed you at art class, now I am kind of glad since you are so sick...lol

I hope no one else gets it. Sounds like you guys are getting all those preschool illnesses again huh?

*L* I love the one with her little tongue sticking out too. So adorable. I'm sorry to hear you're sick! I hope the shots help and you recover fully and quickly. Annslee is such a sweet and loving little girl, I love how concerned she is about other people.

Wow, she did a great job with the bird! I have to agree with you about birds. WE used to have a couple and I was terrified of them!!

You are stronger than I am....I LOVE Martina and would have had a hard time not saying something! I'm sure she appreciated that you didn't though!

I agree, the picture of Annslee with her tongue sticking out is perfect. So terribly sorry you're under the weather. I definitely will say prayers that none of your family gets sick and that you have a super speedy recovery. I also love that particular song -- it's truly a favorite of mine, and it's very hard to not get teary when you hear it. Isn't it great to live here where everyone leaves all the celebrities alone? I love that!

Bless your heart! I am so sorry you are so sick. I had six students out yesterday. It is certainly going around. Annslee's "big bird" is adorable and I am sure GiGi will love it. Cool seeing Martina McBride. I love her music!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Your daughter is precious! Hope she is feeling better.

Martina McBride? Oh, I would have acted like a complete idiot! I listened to "In My Daughter's Eyes" soooo many times while waiting for Luci Bella. I know I would have had to tell her. She seems like the type that would appreciate that. =)

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Sounds like you have the same thing my parents have...and we're steering clear of them!

Annslee is such an artist. Has she painted a picture of Malia yet? Wouldn't that be cute!?

Speaking of famous people...you know that six degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon? My DH just figured out the other day that he only has five degrees of separation! Which means I have six! (I know, we're pathetic people to even be thinking about such a wierd thing! LOL)

Feel better, sweet friend! And, I will definitely pray that the bug doesn't touch anyone else!
So glad you are going to enjoy a visit from GiGi - and I'm sure she will LOVE the bird from Annslee...your girl has real talent. I am sincerely impressed!

(And very cool that you ran into such a superstar! How fun is that!?)

Looks like a very fun time was had by the artists! I am so impressed that you left MM alone. How difficult it must be to just be a mommy sometimes for her.
