What makes a 3 year old happy?

Going to the pool with her best buddy of course!! Yep, we finally saw MIA on Friday!! Seriously, we have never gone this long without seeing her and Annslee was about ready to burst with excitement. She woke up at 6:30 am and said "Phone Mia Mama Jenny Annslee House Now" which may be the longest "sentence" she has ever said : ) Basically, she wanted me to call Jenny and get Mia there pronto! I held her off until about 8 am when I called and made 100% sure they were still coming.

We got there a few minutes before they did and Annslee 'posed' with her Cinder*ella doll and then spotted Mia at the gate and she didn't notice me or Cindy for the rest of the day. She would only swim to Jenny and jump to her LOL

Jenny had water guns for each of them and they turned them on her! Yeah, they thought squirting her was pretty funny!

I will post more pics when Jenny sends the ones she got (hint hint Jenny) as I know she got some great ones too. We will NOT go this long without a Mia fix again : )

Today we headed to our niece's softball game and Miss A was happy to pose for me (no worries, she already went to the pool this morning with Daddy )

We drove up there but the game was forfeited so they just played on the playground instead. Here she is with her cousins : )

I love watching her play with them. She totally cracks me up how "girly" she is sometimes. She acts like such a princess and will hold out her hand for Jacob (the 7 year old) to help her up steps and such and she refused to hug him b/c he was dirty. Of course the next minute she is gathering rocks for me to take home for her. Her favorite thing to do right now is say "Girl Power" LOL

Practicing?

We went to our friend's house Monday night to have dinner and had the added bonus of spending time watching Annslee with their 6 month old Tyler. When we arrived Annslee thought he needed one of her big kisses but I don't know if Tyler agreed : )

She watched very dilligently as Jana fed him his baby food and held the bottle 'at the ready' the entire time. Finally it was time for his bottle and Annslee had to do the honors. She really was so good with him and kept wiping his mouth if he drooled while she fed him.

He was fussing at one point and she smartly grabbed his paci and put it in his mouth. She also got all of his toys and piled them on him.

I LOVE this picture ~ it shows how absolutley exasperated she is with not being able to make him happy! Click to enlarge to totally see the look on her face : )

She really is so good with little ones~ she is going to make a GREAT big sister!

Memorial Day Weekend Fun

On Saturday the cousins came over to play!!

Her cousin Shelby arrived with a Bar*bie talking townhouse that she no longer plays with and Annslee was thrilled to say the least!

We played in the yard some

and of course went to the pool : )

On Sunday morning this was the look she chose for church~ luckily she removed the headband in the car : )

After nap we went down the street to a birthday party that had a cowboy theme with horses!!

Here she is last year at the same party ~ she is growing up so fast!

I hope you are all having a safe and happy weekend!

Finally Summertime

Well, at least it feels like it! We have gone to the park with friends and of course when we are there she goes to the "beach" aka sand volleyball pit : )

We also spent two mornings in our yard playing with the sprinklers : )

Not many words with this post as her beautiful smile says it all!!

Not much else to say

I know most of you know of this tragedy. You can go to this website to watch a sweet video of daddy and daughter and to also send your condolences. The loss of a child is always heartbreaking but the way this happened is so hard to understand. Please continue to lift them up in prayer.

THANKS!!

I am behind on giving thanks for my bloggy buddies and so here goes!

First of all thank you so much to my Secret Pal for my "fun in the sun" gift : ) I loved everything and the note was so sweet. Basically our secret pal indicated that since she didn't really know what was going on with our adoption of Malia she chose to just spoil Annslee this month ~ and spoil she did! Here she is modeling the swimsuit that was sent : )

Look at all the fun stuff Miss A got!

Of course we had to try out the splash ring toss as soon as we could!

We also want to thank Cora for the wonderful socks! They are so cute and Annslee really loved the hippo package they came in : )

I tried to get a pic of her with all the goodies but of course she wanted to be silly : )

I also love the apron Jane's Mommy sent but Annslee won't be still enough for a pic in it so I just lifted this one off her blog. She made this herself...what talent!

Yes, this was all in ONE day!

We had a very FULL day on Saturday. We started off by going to a pancake breakfast and when we sat down she looked at her sausage patties and asked "Cookies?" Being the great parents we are we answered YES...and she ate almost all of them rubbing her tummy between each bite announcing "MMMMM" Notice she needed to wear her pearls for the event!

Her eyes are closed but I just think it totally captures her breakfast joy

After breakfast we went to the Strawberry Festival. Her favorite part was a man with these puppets...she LOVED the show and is still singing songs from it : )

At any event we go to throwing a ball at the dunking booth is what she wants to do the most. It is so funny b/c she is so serious about it but obviously can't really hit the target yet....she doesn't seem to mind at all

After the festival she took a power nap in the car on the way to her last soccer game. She enjoyed the cupcake and the trophy the most. Funny, now she spells soccer outloud a lot and loves writing it over and over.

A change of clothes again and we were off to a local festival/picnic

You know she must pet every dog she sees but seriously, is this really a horse??

We met up with some friends and Annslee loved seeing their baby again....he of course slept most of the time : )

She enjoyed the big slide and was able to get some "big air" at the top!

We went to dinner at a hibachi place after we left the festival and Annslee ate like a champ as usual but the best part was when she wanted out of her chair and then stood in the middle of the place doing the chicken dance...she is so funny! She fell asleep at 7:30 in the car on the way home and did not make a peep until 6:30 the next morning : ) Sorry, no pics from Sunday~ we were too tired!
