A weak hello from the sick house

I started feeling bad Wednesday night but didn't think much of it because I usually get bronchitus once a year and I thought that was what it was. Well, it was not the usual and I kept feeling worse and worse. I didn't sleep at all on Thursday or Friday night and so I finally went to the walk-in clinic yesterday morning and found out it was strep throat! I haven't had it since I was six and had my tonsils out and I don't want to ever have it again. I don't mean to be gross but if you need a cup by your bed because it is too painful to swallow your own saliva...go to the doctor!

It is totally sweet but also concerning that Annslee will not leave my side ~ I just don't want her getting this. She follows me around the house saying "Mama, owww??" then she kisses my neck and forehead and asks "all better?" Yeah baby, we do kiss your boo boos and I wish your sweet kisses cured me : ) She gets a sad little look when I tell her that I still feel yucky. She has also slept with me the last three nights (Daddy wisely went to another room) Believe me, I have tried to keep her away from me but she will have none of it. She sits with me or goes to bed with me and rubs my arm or my back ~ I know she will probably get it too now but oh my gosh, it is amazing how much she loves her Mama~ right back at ya baby!

Daddy is going to the clinic tomorrow just in case and I am taking her to her pediatrician. Hopefully they will give her something. She did throw up twice last night and I was told this is an early indicator of strep in little ones : (

Now you know I feel cruddy because these are the only two pictures I have taken since Christmas. Yeah, Abu is living the life of luxury over here! Oh, and Crazylady notice no princess dress LOL

And Connie, thanks so much for the new look!!!

Fun times with my BFF

On Dec 23 we all went to the football game together. It was cold but the girls had fun! In the last two pics she is asking for hot chocolate.....I think the tongue is the L in milk and the last one is ... Go Get It Mama!!

Hey...they had their hot chocolate and of course Annslee taught Mia that a straw makes a great magic wand : ) All we have to do is beat Indy and we are in the playoffs!

Christmas night they came over to join us for our annual tradition of eating Chinese food (hey, we are Christmas Story fans) and the girls enjoyed Annslee's new gifts and a cookie too
Then it was dress up time.... Mia got a Princess Aurora dress and Annslee had to wear it...Mia changed twice but I think Annslee thought was that this one was going home with Mia so I better wear it now...this is her reaction to seeing "Belle" come downstairs

They danced, spun and fell down a lot : ) The funniest thing was that if we called them by their names Annslee would turn around and give us her famous look then say "na Mia "Belle" or "Rella" and then do the same about herself. Yes, that made me call them Mia and Annslee a lot just so I could get corrected.

It was a great night with great friends

Santa Baby!!

Don't hate us but our daughter slept until 9:15 on Christmas morning~ it may have been because she went to bed so late but either way, it was NICE! Daddy and I ate sausage balls and drank champagne (a family tradition he had..and I willingly join in on!)

I went up and got her (yeah, I put a kid lock on her door...) and because we had to set up for pics and video I told her to sit at the bottom of the stairs so I could see if Santa came. Well, he did and yes, he brought "Abu and Rella" The funny thing is that Christmas Story marathon is on in the background..ha ha

She noticed Abu immediately and LOVED him!! I really think she was not certain Santa would come through on this so she was thrilled. She sat down with him and was loving on him when she finally noticed the CASTLE....seriously, she didn't even see it before~ then she took Abu over to check it out

Yep, the Big Guy came through for her : )

I think it was close to an hour later when I asked her if she wanted to see what else was in her stocking. It was awesome because she was so consumed with the Castle she didn't really rush to open anything else~ she did agree to take a look in her stocking though and the York peppermint patties apparently were the favorite there : )

Daddy pretended he wanted a bite but she would not share. It is kind of a joke with us b/c she got them last year and at barely two years old ate it in two bites!! This year she went a little slower but still loved them

She got a ton of gifts and had a great time opening them....it took her until almost noon to finish because she loved playing with each...I am sure next year will go faster

Abu napped with her and is still getting these big hugs!!

Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful time with family and they were all at our house! We had 11 adults and 7 kids and let me just say, I am so happy I have a girl LOL Those boys were running around like crazy!! *I did a lot of collages so click on them to see the pics better

Before everyone arrived Daddy surprised us with some outdoor lighted snowflakes. You need to know how much Daddy dislikes "outdoor illumination" and how much Mama and Annslee love it! When we drive around Annslee will cheer at a house that is lit up and then say "off" as we go past the dark ones and if we see too many dark ones in a row...she does a "phtttt" tongue stick out at them LOL I guess Daddy's love for his girls outweighed his own feelings and Annslee was thrilled! One of the other things she now does is look out the window at them as say "oooh la la"
While outside we also hung up our special key for Santa...our fireplace is a "fake" one so it is covered by glass....

We ate, opened gifts and played. Annslee also had fun with cousin Shelby playing dress up

Here she is with Daddy as he is pretending she can't have any of the cookies before dinner....

As per our tradition she opened her PJs and an ornament. I am cracking up that she is in her new flapper dress for this.... Her ornament was bought at Dis*ney World and it is of all the princesses and the castle. She hung it and was apparently proud of the job she did.

I knew she would not go for real PJs so I saw this nightgown that will double as a dress up dress with Tink on it...oh, and it is purple of course..so she LOVED it. I am happy to report she even slept in it

Daddy got Mama new PJs too

She put out the milk and cookies for Santa and then it was off to bed! (it was almost midnight afterall)

Go HERE to see last year's post....she has grown so much

*Christmas morning to come with ABU!!

The Three Cs

Cousins, Christmas & Charlotte...that can only mean FUN!! We had a great time and enjoyed so much spending time with GiGi and all the rest of the family~

Yes, this is the best group shot I got...I think it is pretty appropriate : )

She watched them play their nintendo games, wrapped them as presents and played outside

I think it is safe to say being the youngest...and the center of attention appeals to her!

Of course she wore Malia's tutu, wrote her letter to Santa just like the big kids, asked "Anns eee"? when each gift was given to her (too sweet) and just looked cute : )

For the last couple of weeks she kept going to the tree and getting out the gift for Zoe (GiGi's dog) that she picked out and carrying it around. When we were packing to leave for Charlotte she held tight to it as I loaded the car and then literally held onto it on the 7 hour trip to GiGi's. She was serious about Zoe getting her gift. Here she is playing with her and the infamous gift~ she is using Daddy as leverage to help her pull LOL

One of her favorite things to do with Aunt Beth was be the evil stepsister and rip the necklace and gown off poor Cinder*ella .... she did this over and over and it was so funny!!

She didn't go to Dis*ney alone!

Forgive me...but I had some more pics from our trip to post that I hadn't gotten around to... The sad part is I still have to do a post on our trip to Gainesville right before Dis*ney to the FSU/FLA game so beware..that is coming too...ha ha

I know I have posted a lot of pics of the Princess on our vacation (the only one just the three of us have taken) but I thought I'd do a few of us WITH the Princess

If you click on and enlarge this pic you will see that the crown says "Happy Birthday" Well, our travel agent asked if we were celebrating anything and I told her how our trip was in celebration of our two year anniversary of being home with Annslee...she emailed me back and said "the Dis*ney people said, let's just say birthday into their family" so ok...we went with that and she got special treatment at each meal...LOVE THAT!!

Here she is with Mama in front of the Castle all decorated for Christmas!

This was taken as Cinder*ella was coming on stage in front of the Castle..yes, this was the THIRD time she had seen the show LOL

Dumbo is GiGi's fav so we rode it often..

Silly, silly...waiting for "A Bug's Life" .... it scared her and we left! She did like the 3D glasses though

Apparently Tigger took Daddy's hat and she thougt it was hillarious!!

Our last day there...we attempted a family pic...the Princess was NOT in the mood..go figure! You need to enlarge it to get the full effect!
