First haircut and feeling old : )

Dadddy was going for a haircut today and well, lately I have found myself pushing back Coby's hair behind his ears (not good for a boy) so I sent him off with Daddy and the camera. He did great!!

He looks so much older now *sigh* but maybe now people will stop saying "oh, SHE is so beautiful" LOL



For lunch I got together with some friends to start planning our 25th High School Reunion!!! It was so great seeing all of you and hope more can make our next lunch. Hey, we still look pretty good : )

Park Play Date

The weather was beautiful and we were long overdue for a playdate with Amelia and Jack!

Annslee wanted to climb on everything

Annslee was so excited to see "Mee Lia" and they had a great time. I think Tracy and I only had to intervene once with our Drama Girls so that isn't too bad. *the bottom right photo needs an explaination...Tracy told Amelia to make a mad face, apparently that is a way to make her smile really big but of course Annslee just did what Tracy said LOL



Jack and Coby didn't interact a lot but they did seem to enjoy this game. Jack was peeking through at him and Coby thought it was so funny



The girls then came over and I am cracking up at Annslee's face as she tries so hard to read the dinosaur names

Just a little "happy" to share

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Oh, the plans we "think" we have with two children~ yeah, I really thought I could get a shot of them in their St. Pat shirts, both looking and smiling~ as Annslee loves to say "Silly Mommy!" Honestly though I don't even care. It was sunny, 74 degrees and I got to spend time with two laughing kids at the park....how LUCKY am I!!

This was as close as I got..he isn't smiling and she isn't looking but I still love it : )



Awww...Annslee my little professional model, thanks for looking and smiling but too bad your brother is busy eating grass!

2006 (yes, she was apparently eating a snack)




2007 (this was a rough one~ she had a huge nosebleed in the middle of the night and was then sooo upset. She was wearing a purple shirt that had to come off b/c of the blood and when I tried to put a green one on her she lost it saying "puple puple" over and over. Hey, St. Pat probably like purple too so here she is : )



2008 (I loved this shirt b/c I knew my little kissy faced girl could sport it well!)



Here is another one from last year. She was playing her fav game "hide seek" and I just loved her sweet face peeking out from her great hiding spot : )

Little fish & having her brother's back!

As most of you know by now, Annslee is a FISH!! She loves the water and always has. When I told her we were starting swim lessons today she said "I know how swim" Well Miss Thing...you still have plenty to learn : ) I think she has the pose down though!



Baby Annslee went along too of course but had to watch through the window with Coby and me : )



I took Coby to the pediatrician today and seriously, he may be in a rear facing carseat when he is three! He is 19.3 pounds and 29 inches at 14.5 months : )

Something did happen in the waiting room though and it was NOT good. There is a big playhouse there and a little boy was in it. Coby wanted to play in it too but the boy did not want him in there. He blocked the door, pushed Coby down, glared at him...all the while Coby was laughing b/c he thought the kid was just playing with him. At one point the little PUNK said "come get him, I am 5 and don't want that baby in here" I felt like saying ..."where, in the baby girly house ?" Ha... Well, Coby did get in, the boy was ticked and as I tried to play with him through a window Coby got up on a bench at the table across from said Punk! There was a little drawer thing that opened and Coby reached in...yep, little punk boy slammed Coby's finger in the drawer and while I tried to get to my screaming BABY he held it down on his finger! I snatched Coby up and looked at the future jailbird and said "I saw you and you did that on purpose" I was so pissed and the mom came up (who knows where she had been) and started apologizing. I can't believe I didn't go all Mama Bear but honestly I was so angry I just walked off. Little Punk proceeded to sit in the house and pout! WHATEVER!!

Anyway, when I got home I was telling the story and Annslee overheard (she was not at the doctor's office...she would have taken that boy OUT!) This is the look she gave when she heard the story and she said "I tell you mommy little mean boy~ you no be mean my baby brofer!!" I know I wouldn't mess with her!! : )

Consi*gnment Finds

Our church sale started last night (volunteers to shop) and at the fall sale I won a pass to be second in line! The person who was first no showed so I was actually first. I felt a little bad walking up at 5:20 and getting in front of people who had waited since 2:30...

Annslee's request was DRESSES only please. I mostly did that but there is a skirt, shorts and capri outfit in there too : ) She was thrilled when I came home and she tried on everything immediately. She also loved all her new books.

Oh, and this guitar too! Here she is in one of her new dresses putting on a show



As I was making Coby's lunch I found her on the couch reading her new books (yep, some of her dresses are on the couch behind her) After reading the concert happened : )



Oh, and I picked up this MLP Castle and now I have to hide it until her birthday in October LOL




My sweet boy in one of the outfits I got him last night (I only got him THREE things) Sorry boys just aren't as fun to shop for and I am less sure about what size he will be in by summer. Isn't he super cute though!




Now that he is running it is so much harder to photograph him...I keep having to back up : )

Coby's First Zoo Trip

It was sunny and the high was 74 here on Saturday so we hit the ZOO!! Annslee was so excited to go back and Coby enjoyed his first trip : )

At first I was going to do overall shorts on him but it was a little cool in the morning..he did look super cute though (yes, I was going to put the shirt on under it)

If you've read for a while you know she is obsessed with this purple telescope~not sure why??

Glad we brought the wagon~ Baby Annslee and Brownie were tired!



We had a great time and since we are members you know we are heading back soon!!

Play Date with Katie!

A while back Beth from Ten Tiny Toes emailed with me and we discovered that she often passed right through on the way to visit her parents. We talked of meeting up the next time they came through...and we DID!!

After Katie and Annslee "almost" hugged..you had to be there to see it, we headed to the Aquari*um restaurant to check out the fish. Annslee loves it when the Sting*rays "smile" at her




She usually also likes to "pet" them but today she didn't...just check out the faces she is making! The one on the bottom right is after one jumped up at her...Beth and I thought it was funny. Katie LOVED them!

The girls were so funny together. They both are very agressive friends so Beth and I loved watching how that played out : )

This morning

just like most mornings, Annslee is the first to arrive in Coby's room when we hear him "talking" from his crib. This morning she ran in there and then I heard "Mommy look CRAZY hair" and then hysterical laughter. Of course I grabbed my camera on the way up the stairs and this is what I found~

He did have crazy hair and of course he was holding onto his blanket



He threw his blanket out onto her head!



Ok NaNa, I'll take that blanket back now : )



I just LOVE watching how much they LOVE each other. My other favorite time of day is listening to them in the back seat. They chat, laugh and hold hands...sweet!!

Sassy Pants

Annslee~

She is our little sassy pants girls. She makes us laugh with her funny expressions and the "looks" she gives. Some of her more recent "funnies" are~

• She is obsessed with driving and talks of when she drives Coby to school as we told her she couldn't drive until she is 16 and let her know that Coby would only be 13 and joked that she would have to take him to school. Now when we pass the schools she will say "take Coby to school (the middle school) and he get out I say "kiss big sister Annslee bye, be a good listener and have fun baby Coby" LOL I don't think he will be giving his big sis a bye kiss...and she likely won't want it anyway. It is super cute to listen to her role play it though.
• Yesterday at church as we were kneeling at the altar for communion she asks "what dis?" I tell her it is grape juice. She drinks it down and loudly announces "Yum, I like dis juice!!" Then she proceeds to reach over, pick up my cup and drain the little bit I had left!
• One morning last week as we pulled up to the drop off line at her school I look back and she has on her sunglasses and her four Little Po*ny bracelets. As I let her out of the car she informs me "All people see me and say "who dis girl?" And she of course she said it with her hands on her hips in her sassy little voice ; )
• Lately when she catches Coby doing something he isn't suppose to be doing she will say "Mommy, look at your Son!!"

There are so many more...I just can't think of them right now. She is such a JOY to be around. How in the world did we get to be sooooo blessed!!
